Ingredients

200g udon noodles

3 tablespoons chili oil

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon soy sauce

1 teaspoon sesame oil

1 tablespoon rice vinegar

1 green onion, finely sliced

1 tablespoon sesame seeds

Fresh cilantro for garnish (optional)

Salt, to taste

Instructions

Cook the Udon Noodles: In a large pot of boiling water, add the udon noodles and cook according to package instructions (usually about 3-4 minutes). Stir occasionally to prevent sticking.

Prepare the Sauce: While the noodles are cooking, in a small bowl, mix together the chili oil, minced garlic, soy sauce, sesame oil, and rice vinegar. Set aside.

Drain and Rinse: Once the noodles are cooked, drain them in a colander and rinse under cold water for about 30 seconds to stop the cooking process.

Combine Noodles and Sauce: In a large mixing bowl, add the drained noodles and pour the chili oil sauce over them. Toss well to ensure the noodles are evenly coated.

Add Garnishes: Sprinkle the sliced green onion and sesame seeds over the noodles and toss gently to combine. Season with salt to taste.

Serve: Plate the noodles in serving bowls, and optionally top with fresh cilantro for a burst of flavor. Enjoy immediately!
