Ingredients

1 lb ground beef or turkey

1 packet taco seasoning

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

½ cup cream cheese, softened

1 can (8 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough

1 small onion, finely chopped

1 small bell pepper, finely chopped (any color)

1 jalapeño, finely chopped (optional, for heat)

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon cumin

1 tablespoon olive oil

½ teaspoon paprika

Fresh cilantro, chopped (for garnish)

Salsa and sour cream (for dipping)

Instructions

Prepare the Filling:

In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion, bell pepper, and jalapeño (if using). Sauté for about 3-4 minutes until the vegetables are softened. Add the ground beef or turkey to the skillet and cook until browned.

      Season the Meat:

Sprinkle in the taco seasoning, garlic powder, and cumin. Stir well to combine, simmering for about 2-3 minutes until the meat is fully coated in spices. Remove from heat and stir in the cream cheese until melted, then fold in the shredded cheddar cheese.

          Prepare the Dough:

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Open the crescent roll dough and unroll it onto a clean surface. Separate it into individual triangles.

              Assemble the Taco Sticks:

Place about a tablespoon of the cheesy meat mixture at the wider end of each crescent triangle. Carefully roll the dough towards the point, encasing the filling. Make sure to pinch the seams to prevent the filling from leaking out.

                  Bake:

Arrange the rolled taco sticks on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy.

                      Garnish and Serve:

Once baked, remove from the oven and let cool slightly. Garnish with chopped cilantro before serving. Serve with salsa and sour cream on the side for dipping.
