8 oz penne pasta

2 chicken breasts, diced

1 cup asparagus, trimmed and cut into 2-inch pieces

1 cup mushrooms, sliced (button or cremini)

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 small onion, finely chopped

1 cup heavy cream

1 cup chicken broth

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

2 tbsp olive oil

1 tsp smoked paprika

Salt and pepper to taste

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Cook the Pasta: In a large pot of salted boiling water, cook the penne according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

    Sauté Chicken: In a large skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium heat. Add the diced chicken, season with smoked paprika, salt, and pepper, and cook until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes. Remove chicken from the skillet and set aside.

      Sauté Vegetables: In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of olive oil. Add the onions and garlic, sautéing until the onions are translucent. Then, add the mushrooms and asparagus, cooking until they're tender, about 4-5 minutes.
