Ingredients

1 lb ground beef

4 cloves garlic, minced

2 tablespoons unsalted butter

1/4 cup honey

1/4 cup BBQ sauce (your choice)

1 tablespoon soy sauce

1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

1 teaspoon chili powder

Salt and pepper, to taste

8 small corn or flour tortillas

1 cup shredded lettuce

1 cup diced tomatoes

1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or Mexican blend)

Fresh cilantro, for garnish

Lime wedges, for serving

Instructions

Cook the Beef: In a large skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef. Season with salt and pepper, and cook until browned and fully cooked (about 5-7 minutes). Drain excess fat if needed.

Prepare Garlic Butter: In a separate small saucepan, melt the butter over low heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant, being careful not to burn the garlic.

Mix BBQ Sauce: In a mixing bowl, combine the honey, BBQ sauce, soy sauce, apple cider vinegar, smoked paprika, and chili powder. Stir well to create a smooth sauce.

Combine Beef and Sauce: Pour the BBQ sauce mixture over the cooked ground beef, followed by the garlic butter. Stir well to coat the beef evenly with the sauce. Simmer for about 3-4 minutes over low heat until everything is heated through and well combined.

Warm Tortillas: While the beef is simmering, warm the tortillas in a dry skillet for about 30 seconds on each side or until they are pliable.

Assemble Tacos: To assemble the tacos, take a warmed tortilla and spoon a generous portion of the garlic butter honey BBQ beef mixture onto one side. Top with shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, and shredded cheese.

Garnish and Serve: Sprinkle fresh cilantro on top for added flavor. Serve the tacos with lime wedges for squeezing over the top if desired.
