2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

8 oz fettuccine pasta

2 tablespoons olive oil

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved

1 cup heavy cream

1 cup chicken broth

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

1 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Fresh basil leaves for garnish

Salt and pepper to taste

Cook the Pasta: In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Cook the fettuccine according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

    Prepare the Chicken: Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper on both sides. In a large skillet over medium heat, add 2 tablespoons of olive oil. Once hot, add the chicken breasts and cook for about 6-7 minutes per side or until cooked through and golden brown. Remove the chicken from the skillet and let it rest.

      Make the Sauce: In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and cook for about 1 minute until fragrant. Add the cherry tomatoes and cook for another 2-3 minutes until they soften. Pour in the chicken broth and bring it to a simmer.

        Creamy Mixture: Lower the heat and stir in the heavy cream, Italian seasoning, and red pepper flakes (if using). Allow the sauce to simmer for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally until it thickens slightly.

          Combine and Plate: Slice the cooked chicken breasts into strips and return them to the skillet. Add the cooked fettuccine and grated Parmesan cheese, tossing everything together until well combined and the pasta is coated with the creamy sauce.

            Garnish and Serve: Serve the pasta warm, garnished with fresh basil leaves and additional Parmesan cheese if desired.
