Ingredients

1 package (8 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

1/2 cup sliced pepperoni

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 garlic clove, minced

1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)

1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)

Marinara sauce (for dipping)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Prepare the Filling: In a small bowl, combine the shredded mozzarella, pepperoni slices, Italian seasoning, minced garlic, and red pepper flakes if using. Mix until well combined.

Roll Out the Dough: Unroll the crescent roll dough onto a clean surface. Separate the dough into triangles as indicated on the package.

Fill the Croissants: Place a generous tablespoon of the cheese-pepperoni mixture at the wide end of each triangle. Roll the triangles tightly towards the point to form a crescent roll, ensuring the filling is secure inside.

Brush with Egg Wash: Place the rolled croissants onto the prepared baking sheet. Brush the tops with the beaten egg for a golden finish.

Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the croissants are golden brown and flaky.

Serve: Let them cool for a few minutes, then serve warm with a side of marinara sauce for dipping.
