Ingredients

8 oz egg noodles or spaghetti

4 tablespoons vegetable oil

6 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)

2 tablespoons soy sauce

2 tablespoons oyster sauce

1 tablespoon chili paste (like sambal oelek)

1 tablespoon rice vinegar

1 tablespoon sugar

3 green onions, chopped

Fresh cilantro for garnish (optional)

Sesame seeds for garnish (optional)

Instructions

Cook the Noodles: In a large pot of boiling salted water, cook the egg noodles or spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

Prepare the Sauce: In a small bowl, mix together the soy sauce, oyster sauce, chili paste, rice vinegar, and sugar. Stir until the sugar is dissolved and set aside.

Sauté the Garlic: In a large skillet or wok, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and red pepper flakes, and sauté for about 1-2 minutes, or until fragrant. Be careful not to burn the garlic.

Combine Noodles and Sauce: Add the cooked noodles to the skillet, and pour the sauce mixture over them. Toss well to coat the noodles evenly with the sauce.

Add Green Onions: Stir in the chopped green onions, cooking for an additional 1-2 minutes until everything is heated through and the noodles have absorbed some of the sauce.

Serve: Remove from heat and serve hot, garnished with fresh cilantro and sesame seeds, if desired.
