Ingredients

4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

1/3 cup honey

1/4 cup soy sauce

1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar

1 teaspoon sriracha (adjust to taste)

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon black pepper

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

Salt to taste

2 tablespoons olive oil

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Marinate the Chicken: In a bowl, mix honey, soy sauce, apple cider vinegar, sriracha, garlic powder, black pepper, smoked paprika, and a pinch of salt. Add the chicken breasts and coat them thoroughly. Marinate for at least 30 minutes or up to 2 hours in the refrigerator.

Cook the Chicken: Preheat your grill or a skillet over medium-high heat. Add olive oil to the skillet. Once hot, remove the chicken from the marinade and let the excess drip off. Grill or cook the chicken for about 6-7 minutes on each side or until it reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C). Baste the chicken with leftover marinade during the cooking process for extra flavor.

      Prepare the Creamy Macaroni Cheese:

        - In a pot, cook 8 oz elbow macaroni according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.

          - In the same pot, melt 4 tablespoons of butter over medium heat. Sprinkle in 1/4 cup of flour, whisking continuously for about 1 minute.

            - Gradually add 2 cups of milk, whisking until smooth. Cook until the mixture thickens, about 3-4 minutes.

              - Stir in 2 cups of shredded cheddar cheese, 1 teaspoon garlic powder, and salt and pepper to taste. Continue to stir until the cheese is fully melted and the sauce is smooth.

                - Combine the cooked macaroni with the cheese sauce, stirring until well coated.

Serve: Plate the sweet and spicy honey pepper chicken alongside a generous portion of creamy macaroni cheese. Garnish the dish with freshly chopped parsley.
