1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon dried oregano

1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional, for heat)

Salt and pepper, to taste

Fresh basil leaves, for garnish

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.

Mix the Base: In a large mixing bowl, combine the drained white beans, diced tomatoes, minced garlic, dried oregano, and red pepper flakes. Season with salt and pepper. Stir until all ingredients are well incorporated.

Incorporate the Pesto: Add the pesto to the bean mixture and gently fold until the beans are evenly coated.

Layer in the Dish: Pour the white bean and pesto mixture into the prepared baking dish, spreading it out evenly.

Add Cheeses: Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese over the top of the bean mixture. Then, add the grated Parmesan cheese evenly on top.

Bake: Place the baking dish in the oven and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and lightly golden on top.

Garnish and Serve: Remove the dish from the oven and let it cool slightly. Garnish with fresh basil leaves before serving.
